Avanti at the club
David Close and Avanti Tennis have a longstanding relationship with the East Camberwell Tennis Club going back to 2005 when we first began our full time coaching operation at the East Camberwell Tennis Club.
Over the journey he has seen the Club go through many improvements with its facilities and most will agree that the Club is an attractive one to learn and play at.
Since David began at the Club he has seen many players come through the Avanti Tennis program and many have gone on to the US College System and even to a professional level.
David and his Coaching Team take pride in building a fun, safe and professional environment for players to reach their potential at tennis whatever that may be.
The club
Set in attractive parklands on Riversdale Road, ECTC has eight floodlit courts: six clay courts and two hardcourts. The clubhouse has a covered outdoor deck and a barbecue for members, and there is a playground right next door in the park.
The club fields around 25 night teams, 13 junior teams on Saturday and Sunday mornings, five Tennis Victoria pennant teams, senior teams on Saturday afternoons and a mid-week ladies team. Whatever level you reach with Avanti, there is a team waiting.
Membership
Everyone who enrols with Avanti Tennis at ECTC becomes an affiliate member of the club, with some extra benefits and news from Tennis Victoria and Tennis Australia. Full membership, with court access and competition play, is arranged directly with the club.
